In the light of the accident on March 5, 2018 involving families from our church, Trinity Grace is providing family care information and resources for our congregation, friends, and neighbors.

Trauma and Grief Support

We recognize that many of us are still processing the trauma and grief we have experienced. For some, the symptoms are easy to recognize while others might have a harder time identifying them or knowing what type of support they may need.

If you believe you may benefit from additional support, please take a moment to fill out the form below. It includes several types of support we can make available to our community. We will follow up with you in the coming days to let you know what resources are available.

Community resources

Counseling Services
We recommend the following counselors for care related to the current events and for ongoing care:

Prayer Groups
Our congregation has groups of men and women that meet weekly specifically for praise and worship, to share prayer requests, and to intercede on behalf of one another and the community. Let us gather around one another and let the cries of our hearts be made known to God.

Grief Support Book List
You can explore this list of recommended resources for adults, families, children, and youth on a variety of grief-related topics.

Bereaved Families

Encouragement Bank
We have a card station setup at coffee hour on Sundays, so these can go into an encouragement bank to distribute to each family over the next year.

Prayer Chain
Please join the Trinity Grace Prayer Chain, where our church community is invited to signup and cover each family in prayer, 24 hours a day. We are in deep need of God’s help, mercy, and peace.

Financial Support
You can partner in giving generously through two, separate GoFundMe campaigns that are in place for each of the families. You can also make a donation to the Trinity Grace Church Deacons Fund; anything unused for meals, care, or logistics will be given to the families.

Gift Cards
You can send gift cards (such as Seamless, Grubhub, Instacart, AmazonFresh, Postmates, Munchery, Target, etc) to two, separate email addresses that have been setup for each of the families.

Additional Support
Other types of support for the families (meals, care, logistics, etc) are being handled privately. More congregational resources and details about how you can provide support will be shared at a future time.

Privacy
The families are requesting silent support and privacy; please do not make social media updates of any kind while they take time to process with their loved ones. Thank you for your sensitivity in this matter.

press inquiries
