2018 Retreat

June 15–17  |  Frost Valley YMCA

Each year, Trinity Grace takes a spiritual life and prayer retreat as a church family.

Friday, June 15—Sunday, June 17 at Frost Valley YMCA in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York.

Registration is now closed. Please join us again next year!

This annual getaway is an opportunity to know more about the heart of our church, seek God in the beauty of His creation, and enjoy a weekend among friends. It is designed as a time to connect deeply with God, to grow in friendships, and to be equipped for our shared mission of joining God in the renewal of all things. Come and make new memories with us!

Packing up your bag? Offering a seat in your car? Need a ride? Looking for directions? Use our planning tool to get ready for the retreat.

The themes of the retreat will include resting in the finished work of Christ, understanding our identity as God’s children, and being empowered by God’s Spirit to live in the way of Jesus.

weekend activities

Throughout the weekend, you can expect to participate in worship, teaching sessions, group discussion, solitary prayer and reflection, recreational activities, and family-style meals. Checkout the complete schedule.

Frost Valley YMCA has a wide range of activities available during our scheduled free time: canoeing, hiking, ropes course, soccer, basketball, volleyball, archery, crafts, campfires, and more. A complete schedule of available activities will be shared with you at the start of the weekend.

Please note: Frost Valley has no cellular service, very limited WiFi service, no soda or candy, and very limited nighttime lighting... so plan accordingly.

what to bring

Frost Valley is located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York. You can expect early summer temperatures between 45–65°F with an average 30% chance of rain. It gets particularly chilly at night and bright and sunny during the day, so plan accordingly.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a paperback Bible (so you can be screen-free), journal or sketchbook, pen / pencil, and a flashlight. We believe in a God who communicates His love and truth to us; and when He speaks into our hearts, it is a good and beautiful thing to keep a record of it. Then you have a place to return and trace God’s faithfulness.

Please use our trip planning site to organize your packing list. You can also request to borrow something from another retreat participant for the weekend. Don't forget to pack your own bed linens, towels, and pillows as these are not provided in your lodge!

kids and youth

TGC Kids and TGC Youth will enjoy their own camp experiences with trained and loving staff during the adult sessions, centered around the retreat theme. Our staff will facilitate fun adventures, learning activities, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, and music for each age group.

All families will have shared free time to explore the camp together. In the evenings, our staff will provide care in each lodge after bedtime so parents can unwind and spend time with friends.

Sign-up now to save your spot in the show!
